How to scrapbook about your cat? We love our furry feline friends and want to give them a lovely scrapbook age of their own. Let’s create a scrapbook layout about your cat that celebrates all the quirks, funny moments, snuggles and mysteriousness of your favorite pet! There are so many ways to make a cat page and there is so much wonderful inspiration out there on the web. I have gathered some awesome examples of cat scrapbook pages here in this blog post. Scroll down with me to get inspired by other scrapbookers’ creations and to see how you can “borrow” different ideas and design principles for your own pages!

And should this extensive gallery of funny, cute and beautiful cat scrapbook layouts still leave you wanting more: have no fear! There is a PART 2

Be A Proud Cat Lady

You love your cat! Or cats. Or many cats (hey, we’re not judging!). And you shouldn’t be afraid to shout it out to the world. Or, you know, at least shout it out on your scrapbook page. You love the purring, the cat snuggles, the horrible cat food breath. You love scooping out the cat litter and being covered in cat hair all the time. You are a proud cat lady. Own it!

Layout designed by Anna Kossakovskaya

The title of this layout is “Cat Lady” and the letters couldn’t be bigger! The soft color palette is lovely and matches the grey cat in the photos beautifully. The photos are subtly matted to make them stand out from the white background a little more. Enamel brads provide little color pops on the page.

Celebrate The Sunlight

Chances are your cat loves to curl up and snooze on a sunny spot. Cats really are masters in celebrating those things that they enjoy and that are important to them: sitting in card board boxes, running around like a headless chicken at 3 am, and snoozing in the sunlight. Let’s celebrate that glorious sunlight with them!

The journaling starts with “We love summer!” and the photo of the cat beautifully backlit by the sun shows just how much! Ah, to be a cat and just lie around in the sun all day… Life goals! The layout is kept simple and is very sweet with bright, but soft, colors and some well-placed embellishments.

Collage Multiple Photos In A Large Shape

A photo grid is a great way to show multiple photos on one page. A fun way of doing this is if you put that photo grid into a larger shape, for instance a big heart. Two cat-loving scrapbookers have done just that, so let’s take a look at their resulting pages!

Layout designed by Melinda Spinks

“Meow”! This is a beautiful layout documenting a gorgeous looking cat. The three photos are grouped together on one side of the large heart shape. A paw print makes up the left “ear” of the heart. There sure is a lot to see on this page and it is all equally awesome! As an avid yarn crafter, I have to start, of course, with the embroidered heart. What an excellent idea! Not only is the execution of this stitching quite stunning, but the idea of dividing it in two colors and finishing the left side with the paw print is pure genius. I love that the color of the journaling matches that of the embroidery thread. And let’s talk about the paw print: I don’t know if this is a ready-to-go available embellishment, if so: well done designer, if not: well done, creator of this page! It is such a simple idea to group items together in a bigger shape, but it is always very effective. And it doesn’t hurt that the little embellishments that make up the paw print are the cutest ever!

Mr. Merlin seems to be a cat that can nap any time and in any position! The cute little photos documenting his snoozing habits have been put in a photo grid inside a big heart shape. The rest of the heart is filled with small pieces of patterned paper. I love the color scheme with the beautiful brown, green and light blue. And anything with polka dots just makes me so happy! The font of the title is very cool and the way the journaling is added to the left side of the page is very unusual!

Don’t Forget About The Goofy Photos

Let’s face it: your cat is one goofy dude or dudette! Every cat owner knows that cats can pull the weirdest faces! So let’s document the silliness and celebrates these goofballs! Just how funny looking cats can be is shown in these following layouts.

Molly the cat certainly has her funny moments. She is an adorable looking cat with a sweet fuzzy face! The layout her owner made to celebrate her goofy way is very sweet as well. The choice of colors and embellishments is perfect. All the page elements are grouped together in the center of the page, leaving lovely white space around the cluster. And notice the stitching on this page: not only the word “Love” in the title is stitched (great idea!!), but also the stripey border around the white cardstock is embroidered to the page. I just love these personal finishing touches!

Scientists have estimated that cats spend about two hours a day yawning. Okay, I made that up, but the number is probably not far off! Cats do yawn a lot, preferably right before a lovely little nap, and so catching them in the act is almost a “must-have” photo. This cat is really putting some effort into his or her yawn. And the resulting photo is nothing short of a masterpiece! The layout itself is kept quite simple: the photo is matted horizontally and anchored to the page with the vertical striped piece of pattern paper. Cute little color-coordinated embellishments are added to the title.

Now we are getting into proper silliness. This cat is trying to get his or her owner to play! And that can require some goofball faces. The layout is playful and fun, with lots of white space. The photo is stacked on some cute patterned paper (love that doodled piece!). The cluster is put slightly to the left on the page. The title balances out the page nicely. The little star embellishments and the little paw print are the perfect finishing touches! Sweet! Now let’s play!

This kitty is ready for some serious snuggling! The closeness of the cat’s snout to the camera and the half-closed eyes give this cat quite the silly look. You can’t help yourself: you just have to cuddle and pet him (or her)! The title “Purr” is the perfect choice for this layout! I love the stack of different patterned paper pieces, especially the ones with the polka dots & hearts! The pink accent color is repeated in a subtle way in different shades and places. Notice how the three heart embellishments form a designer triangle! My favorite finishing touch is the piece of background paper with the cut-out chevron arrows. That is such a cool look!

Oscar is one of those cats that have these impossibly long limbs. You know how when cats stretch out they can reach infinity with their paws! This glorious cat fact was documented in this layout. The photo is perfect: focusing on his little cat phase with his outstretched paw in the foreground. It is a pose every cat owner knows very well! The layout has a subtle pink and blue color scheme and is lovely and playful. I love the big letters of the word “Love” spelled out in a see-through overlay, adding a bit of mystery to the page. The paint splatters and enamel dots Notice all the stitching and loose threads on this page, I bet cats would love that!

Express Your Love In A Poem

Roses are red
Violets are blue
She wrote an ode to her cat
And so should you!

What better way to express your love for your cat than in a beautiful poem? Think of all the things you love about your cat and let that literary creativity flow!

how to scrapbook about your cat;cat scrapbook layouts; cat page inspiration; kitty layouts; cat memory pages; document your cat;
Source: Pinterest

If you focus really, really closely you can make out the words of the cat-inspired poem on this layout. Unfortunately, the resolution of the image isn’t optimal. But we get the gist: she likes her cat! And don’t you just love the idea of writing an ode to your best feline friend? The layout is quite “artsy” with lots of interesting elements and colors. I love the way the ribbons, patterned papers and embellishments are stacked and arranged. I especially love the light blue ribbon with the yellow zigzag swirl that runs across the bottom of the page. What a great idea to bring the yellow of the background back into the cluster! Notice the lines drawn around the various papers, journaling and tags. Those lines are the perfect finishing touches.

Focus On Those Beautiful Eyes

Cats can have the most beautiful eyes. There is a wide range of iris colors and the shape of the pupil changes with the amount of light and the mood of the cat. All in all that is enough reason to document the eyes of your cat, especially if they have an usual color or brightness. Let’s take a look at some awesome cat-eye layouts!

Orange! This beautiful black cat has gorgeous orange eyes. No wonder the color scheme of the layout is adapted to match those colors! I love the color pop the orange hearts, orange zigzag stitching, orange strip of patterned paper (or washi tape) provide. What a great way to emphasize that unusual eye color! The photo of the cat beautifully catches the eyes and, of course, the cat’s head. I love the seemingly random way the little squares of patterned paper have been stacked on the page. Notice how the biggest orange elements (hearts, photo, and strip of paper) number three in total, another little design trick!

Green eyes are not unusual for a cat, but these photos have captured them beautifully and that is enough reason to celebrates these feline peepers in a layout. I love the green (what else?) and blue color scheme. The circles around the photos and journaling emphasize those elements on the page whilst giving the layout a unified look. Notice how the photos stick out over or under the colored circle frames. Also, parts of the circles are kept just white. Both these design choices add a little extra playfulness to the layout. I love how the green and blue page colors are brought together in the little flower square embellishment and the little polka dotted paper strip in the lower left corner of the page. Those are the perfect finishing touches!

Source: Pinterest

Just look at this sweet little cat face with its pretty light-blue eyes. What a fantastic photo! The color scheme of the layout matches beautifully with the colors of the photo. The page itself is simple. The close-up photo is the star and some page elements are added to emphasize the cute cat! Notice that the little word tags saying “wonder” and “play” form a design triangle with the flower embellishment. The striped patterned paper border running across the bottom of the page provides the layout with some interest and a muted pop of colors. I love thos little square striped buttons! The angled square with the flower embellishment “hanging” from the blue ribbon is the perfect finishing touch.

Another gorgeously green-eyed cat! What a sweet fuzzy face! This layout abundantly celebrates the green eyes with a matching green and orange color scheme. I love how the orange mirrors the color of the cat’s little nose! Putting the photo on an angle immediately creates a dynamic feeling on a page. This photo angle is not steep, but is made to look more dramatic because it is layered on top of patterned paper featuring contrastingly angled thin stripes. The photo itself is clustered on three sides (hello designer triangle!) by cute little button flower clusters and little pennant banner flags. How cute are those! The thick orange border pulls all the page elements together. The scalloped polka dot border on the bottom of the page is the perfect finishing touch!

What a beautiful layout! Cropping the photo lengthwise is such a great idea and a wonderful way to focus attention on the cat’s eye. The page is divided into two parts with the vertical photo taking up about half the layout. The other half contains journaling and some embellishments. The two halves are split by a couple of strips of patterned paper. Notice how the photo, the title with journaling and the”#1″ embellishment in the right upper corner form a design triangle. This way, the page is beautifully balanced and a pleasure to behold!

Get In Really Close

Some cats like to stick their body parts right in your face. Why not celebrate this behavior by trying to capture the particular body part in question on film and create an unusual cat-body-part scrapbook page? This way everybody gets to see what you see on a daily base. Or just get in really close with your camera and take snaps of those cute parts of your sweet furry cat! It’s like you can almost reach out and touch their soft fuzzy body parts!

how to scrapbook about your cat;cat scrapbook layouts; cat page inspiration; kitty layouts; cat memory pages; document your cat;

Cat snout alert! What a great angle for a photo. I love that most of the cat’s head is cropped out. Only the cute nose, mouth and part of one eye are left in frame. This way you really draw the eye to the furry snout with the cute whiskers. And as a bonus, it looks like the cat is about to smother you with little feline kisses. The layout itself is simple and almost monochrome. Notice the design triangle formed by the three clusters of embellishments. I love the white paper hearts! All the page elements are clustered on a piece of white paper with cute cut-out scalloped edges. This paper pulls the layout together. I can’t help but keep staring at that cute cat nose!

This peek-a-boo photo is so cute! And, again, cropped to perfection. You get an instant feeling for this cat’s curiosity and sense of adventure. This adventurous and whimsical vibe resonates in the rest of the layout. I love that artsy look with all the different paint splatters. The color scheme is beautiful with the greys and yellow. The photo is matted on top of two pieces of corrugated cardboard, matching the brown color of the title letters. The little added star embellishments scattered all over the page are the perfect finishing touch. This layout is playful perfection!

Since we’re busy getting some awesome close-up photos of our cats anyway, we might as well photograph those adorable furry cat feet! As long as the claws stay retracted cat’s feet are so cute! Get in really close and snap away to capture the perfect photo of those paws. And then proceed and make your own “Kitty feet” scrapbook layout. The page itself is straightforward, layering the photo and clustering it with embellishments. It is the wooden plank background that gives this layout a rustic feeling. It fits perfectly with the color scheme of the photo and in particular with the little piece of notebook paper that contains the journaling. I love that brown-toned triangle patterned paper!

Keep Your Color Scheme Refined And Simple

Cat are sophisticated creatures. They have a natural elegance and ooze refinement. It, therefore, seems a logical choice to choose a refined and simple color scheme when scrapbooking about your cat. Pick just a couple of matching colors for patterned papers or embellishments and leave lots and lots of elegant looking white space and voila: your cool, sophisticated page layout is born! Oh, and don’t forget that photo of your cat looking particularly haughty!

Golden yellows and muted blue-greys make up the color scheme of this lovely layout. They fit perfectly with the royal looking cat in the photo. The yellow really pops off the page! I particularly love the blingy golden glitter letters of the word “HEART” in the title. The photo is matted on a piece of gorgeous yellow floral patterned paper. Muted blue-grey toned strips and banners of paper are clustered around the photo. This photo cluster is beautifully balanced by the three hanging strings with circles in the right upper corner. These little circles, together with the colorful heart that are scattered horizontally on the left side of the photo, add a whimsical playfulness to a rather stern looking cat photo. Keeping the color scheme simple will enable you to add as many of your favorite papers and embellishments as you want!

The color scheme for this page is black, light blue and very light yellow. And of course the white of the background, it is sometimes easy to forget the white! The photo is very cute. What a sweet looking cat! No wonder he or she is “LOVED” as the elegant title says. The photo is clustered with two sets of flower clusters and the whole thing is matted on some gorgeous light blue background paper. The clustered stack is pulled together with the black and white polka dot strip running underneath the photo. This strip mirrors the black of the title and the heart and of the cat itself. Another strip of black and white paper combined with the light blue paper and some flowers

This cat is 100% adorable! The two photos are very similar, instantly creating unity on the page. They are matted on a popping red chevron arrow and clustered on two sides with colorful embellishments. The color scheme for this layout is red pink and blue and these colors look lovely together. Notice the design triangle that is formed by the three clusters of circles and hearts. This balances out the page beautifully. I love the little strip of red hearts running underneath the photos and the two pieces of striped black and grey washi tape are the perfect finishing touch.

Just look at this lazy critter! Rosie is lazily lounging around in this blue and green color scheme layout. I love the choice of fresh colors. The green matches nicely with the cat’s eyes and the blue matches with the blue checkered background of the photos. I love the little pennant banner: it is really cute. A banner like that instantly radiates happiness and has a really festive feeling about it. I also love the way the big blue flower is clustered with all the hearts. This cluster is balanced out by the tag, journaling and little hearts on the right side of the photo. Seems like this cat has her daily routine pretty much nailed!

Grey, yellow, black and white: This layout has a very distinct color scheme. The photo itself almost looks black and white and therefore fits right into the color palette. I love the giant yellow polka dot paper strip running vertically on the page. Polka dots are just instant happiness, aren’t they! I also love the chevron paper, very original! And the yellow squares paper makes the perfect background. But even with all these yellow color pops your eye is still first drawn to the sweet little face of the cat. Animals are just so cute when they sleep!

This photo is indeed “ADORABLE”! What a cute little kitty! The photo has soft colors and the color palette chosen for the layout matches that with soft pastels. Most of the color is contained in the triangle of the title and the two clusters. The rest of the page is mostly white space, although with some paint splatters and teeny tiny little black triangles. I love the way the title is build up out of different patterned paper. And have you noticed that awesome two hearts? They have been folded from matching patterned paper. So dust of your origami skills and make some cute embellishments for your scrapbook pages!

This cute cat is doing a little peek-a-boo act, hence the title “Surprise”! The black color of the cat itself is matched in the title, the black circles around the photos and the strip of chevron paper or washi tape that runs underneath the two photos. I love how the font of the title letters matches the thickness of the black circles. Notice where the circles run and where they have been cut off by the photos. This creates a whimsical feeling to the page. The photos are clustered with some lovely teal blue and yellow embellishments and banners and all the page element are put slightly angled on the page. I love the two big buttons that are added. The cluster of elements is anchored to the layout by the little paint splatters running diagonally from corner to corner.

Is it me, or does this cat look a little mean? It is a beautiful cat, soft and furry, and he or she probably has a very sweet personality. In any case, the creator of this page was inspired to make this romantic and ethereal looking scrapbook layout for the little furball! The photo is cropped as a close-up of the fuzzy face and a sweet array of embellishments with flowers, ribbons etc have been clustered around it. The dotted corners ground this cluster to the rest of the page and the little stars in the right-hand upper corner balance out the layout. Very sweet, very pink, very sophisticated!

The last layout of this blog post is absolutely gorgeous. Not only is the title wonderfully punny (Basket – Bas-cat, get it?), but the cross-stitched cat element is very stunning and cute. The stitching matches the wicker basket beautifully. The two pastel-colored flower clusters bring a sense of sweetness to the page. This is emphasized by the light pink color of the journaling. But the star of the show is undoubtedly the Bas-Cat case himself. He has a bit of the Grumpy Cat touch, but that only makes him more adorable!

Speech Bubbles Dog Layout

The first layout in this blog post celebrates a very sweet looking dog. The color scheme is a bright pink and yellow, with the color pops mostly coming from the background paper and the speech bubble embellishments on the left side of the page. Stacking those speech bubbles horizontally is a great idea! The photo cluster balances out the rest of the page. The colors from the speech bubbles are mirrored in the little pink and yellow word strips on the right side of the photo and the little circle behind the “Sweet Girl” card.

Pastel Triangles Dog Layout

Another very light and bright layout! The main colors on this page are light pastel, giving an almost ethereal look to the layout. The featured photo is very cute! Remember to take a photo together with your dog! Just think of the fun selfie photo shoots you could have! The photo is clustered with flower embellishments and the whole cluster is put on a background of pastel-tinted triangles. Those triangles are build up out of different pieces of scrapbook paper and finished of with some colored stitching around the edge. I love this triangle background idea! Notice that the triangles are all different sizes and that there are three of them (hello designer triangle made of triangles!). I also love the felt ampersand in the title and the two added buttons. A very cute layout!

Snack Addict Dog Layout

When you have dogs, you know that you always have their full attention whenever there is something to eat. I love how the creator of this page made a whole layout about that! The photo of the dog really says it all! The dog is completely focused on the possibility of scoring a nice snack! The whole layout has a wonderfully whimsical feel: the big over-the-top title, the cute snack food embellishments and, of course, the cute polka dot background! All these page elements are grounded by the strip of pink and white patterned paper running horizontally across the page, embellished by a fun doily border. The little pink hearts that are scattered all over the page are the perfect finishing touches!

All Ears Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

Just look at this cute furry face, what an adorable dog! The creator of this page focuses attention to the puppy’s big fluffy ears with the title “All Ears”. What a great idea. The dog is also wearing a very cute gingham kerchief. The main photo is a portrait shot that shows off the dog very well. The green grass provides a naturally contrasting color and so not much else is needed on the page. A horizontal grid of photos runs across the bottom of the layout, featuring more action-type shots. This way you get to see that this little pup has lots of energy and loves to play. Some journaling is added to the page and a minimum of embellishments. The photos definitely are the stars!

Beau Fuzzface Dog Layout

His name is “Beau” and he is indeed a beautiful dog. What a cuddly fuzzface! The photo is clearly the main feature on the page, with the rest of the layout kept to a minimum. The colors of the other page elements match the color of the photo, lovely browns and greys. The photo is stacked on top of the cutest doggy patterned paper Some matching dog embellishments are added on top of the photo. The whole cluster is centered on the page and anchored by the arrow in the bottom right of the page. I just keep staring into his eye! What a sweet layout for a sweet dog!

Love Is A Dog Layout

“Love is a dog”, such a wonderful sentiment! And what a great photo of this cute dog! Half sleeping, but still alert, the description that the creator of this page gives seems to be very accurate. The layout revolves around the photo, that is kept in black and white. The rest of the page is in a red and blue color scheme. I love the way the title is done with different elements, fonts and a photo frame to put extra emphasis on the dog’s beautiful face. The journaling is added directly to the photo, I always love when that is possible! And the two banners made up out of different blue and red patterned paper frame the center part beautifully with horizontal strips. I love that little hearts red patterned paper!

Horizontal Banners Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

This layout has a completely different feeling. Small square photos of the very cute dog are put in a vertical grid on the left side of the page. The four patterned paper banners running horizontally across the page balance the grid nicely. The chosen color scheme is somewhat subdued, resembling the colors of the photos. All the page elements give a nice color pop because of the dark grey background. I love including multiple photos on a page, especially, as is the case here, if they tell a story. You can almost see the dog move as in a little film strip. Lovely layout!

Brown Puppy Dog Eyes Layout

This layout celebrates the beautiful sad brown puppy dog eyes this dog uses to always get what he or she wants! The title of the page is “Pathetic 101” and the journaling states the “4 steps to mom’s heart”. Well, if you got those gorgeous eyes, use them! This photo is fantastic. It is beautifully in focus and the lighting is just perfect. The color scheme of the page matches the browns in the photos, adding little orange buttons for little pops of color. I love the way the title is spelled out using different color letters and different fonts. The added embellishments give the page a whimsical look. Very nice!

Happy Bright Dog Layout

Light and bright, let’s go outside! What a great layout! I love the two featured photos, taken only seconds apart. They have such a happy feel about them! This bright feeling is continued in the rest of the layout. The photos are stacked on a background made up of three light-colored horizontal patterned paper strips. The colors of those papers are matched by the added embellishments and the whole cluster of page elements makes up a wonderful collage. My personal favorites are the polka dot sun and the gingham cloud! Notice how the chevron arrow added to the right upper corner of the cluster beautifully balances the page.

Hand-made Stars Dog Layout

Find the star of the show amongst all the other stars! This sweet dog is photographed from above, another great camera angle to try out. The stars look handmade and are probably cut from paper that has been painted beforehand. What a wonderful idea! This way you can give your page that special personal touch. I love how the photo, title and stars are clustered together in a horizontal orientation in the center of the page. Paint splatters add an extra whimsical look. The whole white background is stitched onto another painted piece of paper! The painted title letters fit the handmade theme perfectly.

Love This Girl Dog Layout

Another very cute dog! What a sweet furry friend! The photo provides the pop of color, especially with that white snowy background. The rest of the page is made up with tone-on-tone beige browns, white and dark grey. All the page elements are clustered in a vertically running strip, slightly to the left of the page. The layout is beautifully balanced by the journaling strips running into the right side of the page and the stitched arrow (awesome!) and swirls. Notice how the chalkboard hearts form a designer triangle!

Cute Woof Dog Layout

“WOOF” and “cute”, this layout couldn’t have been summarized any more succinctly! What a cute puppy. The two photos are put in a 2×2 grid, with the rest of the spaces filled up with the title and the journaling. Three blue stars run in the middle of the grid, adding some playfulness. I love the way the squares with the title and journaling are color divided into two triangles. This lovely orange gives this layout a pop of color. And the background patterned paper with all the hand-drawn hearts is the perfect finishing touch!

Perfect Photo Dog Layout

This dog is going places and doing things! The photo is stunning: the colors are beautiful and the composition is perfection. How cool is it that the dog is the same color as the background? This is very easy on the eyes. The photo is framed by two big red and white clusters of flowers and other embellishments. Journaling is added to the bottom left of the page. I love the way the letters and swirls both in the upper left corner and in the bottom right corner run over the photo. This pulls all the elements beautifully together.

Pretty Pink Dreams Dog Layout

In all the animal kingdom, sleep is absolutely sacred. Hence the title: “Do Not Disturb”. What a cute photo and what a sweet layout! Pink is the dominant color, coming from the snuggly blanket the dog is sleeping on and the color is mirrored in the letters of the title. A horizontal strip of small photos, featuring even more shots of the cute sleeping dog runs across the top of the page. I love the different angles included in these little photos. The journaling is framed in a contrasting blue color. This color can also be found in the background paper.

Meet Truman, the adorable dog! He is immortalized in this photo showing him in action! The journaling tells us a little more about this almost six-month-old puppy. The color scheme of this layout is a combination of gorgeous muted green and dark brown. I love those grungy looking patterned papers. They each have a character of their own, yet perfectly match together. The title in big light letters is put vertically on a dark brown background on the left of the page. The whole layout is pulled together by the light green ribbon running acrocss the whole page. The leaf swril doodles, the heart and the paw prints are the perfect finitshing touches.

House Full Of Dogs Layout

Imagine having a house full of puppies! Wouldn’t that be awesome? Especially if they are all as cute as these five dogs! What a collection of sweet furry faces! The photo grid is centered on the page and is surrounded by lovely brown colored patterned papers and matching embellishments. The bright lettered title says it all! Notice how the two embellishments and the title form a designer triangle. This triangle is emphasized by the pop of bright color in all three. The light color for the left bottom corner flower predominantly comes from the date tag, but it still counts!

Pastel Smile Dog Layout

Smile doggy, you’re on a very cute layout! These soft blue and yellow pastel colors make the two featured photos really pop. And the papers and embellishments that are used are just so cute! The yellow polka dot paper is adorable, but then I’ve never seen a polka dot I didn’t like. And of the embellishments, the cute little banner that runs on the top of the page is my absolute favorite. The photo is clustered with sweet flower embellishments, a cool ribbon and some journaling. The pate is pulled together by the light-blue gingham banner running from the bottom of the photos to the left side of the page and the banner running across to the other side. The journaling overlaps with the title, connecting the photo cluster to that side of the page as well.

Cute Einstein Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

Is it just me or does the main photo of this layout remind you of that famous photo of Albert Einstein? Wouldn’t it be cool to use a comparison like that as the base of your layout? Keep that idea in mind when you make your scrapbook layouts! As is, this page is very cute too. The main photo is fantastic, a great angle and the expression on the dog’s face is priceless. I love the close-cropped nature of the three smaller photos that were added. What a wonderful idea to zoom in on the nose and eyes in that way! The photos are in black and white and the color on this page comes from the background and embellishments. And a lot of color it is! From the striped patterned paper to the complex looking flower embellishments, this page is filled to the brim with baby blues and pinks. And just to make sure the message comes across without a shadow of a doubt the title spells out “Dog Gone Cute”!

Wanted Poster Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

This dog is wanted for stealing his or her owner’s heart. And the pup sure looks guilty of the crime! What a sweet face! It is a good thing we are cautioned that “looking into eyes may cause puppy love”. Best be on the safe side and focus on the layout itself! The page design is an old Western “Wanted” poster, but with a cross-stitch twist. I absolutely love this idea. It gives a digital layout a wonderful traditional look. The font used for the title is just perfect and the same goes for the cross-stitch lettering on the rest of the page. Even the little screws in the four corners of the layout are cross-stitched, what a lovely eye for detail! The embroidered paw prints and the little red heart are the perfect finishing touches.

Deep Color Dog Layout

A big heart, a cute photo, some journaling strips and a little set of banners, this layout has it all! The gorgeous black dog dominates the page that has been divided in a 2×2 grid. What a great idea! I love the big heart with all the little hearts and paw prints in it. And the banners are made from lovely deep colored patterned papers. The all the page elements are pulled together by the green strip running across the page, touching most of the grid squares. The little paw print embellishment is the perfect finishing touch. Simple, colorful and gorgeous layout!

A Boy And A Dog Layout

This layout is beautifully simple. The black and white photo is absolutely adorable and not doubt has inspired the title. The color scheme for the rest of the page consists of yellow (pale yellow as the background with a bright color pop by the little strips on the photo), grey (The greys in the photo and the big ampersand in the title) and orange-red (the title, the embellishing strips and the frame around the photo). All the page elements are clustered horizontally in the center of the layout. This leaves some lovely white space above and below the cluster. A lovely, tranquil layout with a sweet photo!

Close Snuggles Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This photo is brilliant. The angle with the nose is so funny! It does require some explanation as to why the dog is snoozing this way, and fortunately, the creator of this page give that in her journaling. It is a sweet habit of Daisy the dog to get as close as possible to her owner whenever she can. And sometimes she needs a little nudging. But who could ever refuse cuddles and snuggles from this sweet puppy? Well, exactly. The journaling has inspired the title. The page has a lot of cute elements on it. My personal favorites are the little dog bone with the word “Dog” and the little heart (is that a metal embellishment) and the heart with the paw print on it. “I have paw prints on my heart”. And that’s the truth!

Black And White Filmstrip Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

A black, white and blue filmstrip! The creator of this page celebrates Barrie the little sunshine dog with this awesome looking layout. What a wonderful idea. The filmstrip is a fun way to grid up your photos. The filmstrip and the photos are kept in black and white, making the blue of the rest of the page pop with color. The movie strip is put on the page at a slight angle, adding some playfulness. The leaf embellishments are clustered in two groups balancing each other perfectly. The title pulls the whole page together. I love the background patterned paper that has stripes running at an angle. This too helps to give the page a more whimsical feel. And finally, let’s not forget how incredibly cute that third photo is! Sheer perfection!

Furry Dog Face Layout

Source: Pinterest

Dog looks into camera and a perfect photo is born. What a sweet dog! Such a cute furry face! The layout is cute too with the photo and the title taking up the upper half and a grid of small squares filling the lower half. The two halves are pulled together by the vertical strip of patterned paper running across the page on the left side. The small grid squares are filled with cute pattern paper, some journaling and sweet embellishments. I love the way the big “DOG” letters of the title match the patterned papers of the lower grid, another unifying element. The little paw print in the letter “O” with the green teeny tiny heart in it is the perfect finishing touch.

Pohto Grid Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

A very cute photo session with this cute dog has to be documented! And this page is the perfect way to do it. With a grid you can add a lot of photos to one single page so no need to leave out some of your favorite snaps! The grid layout resembles some of the pocket page layouts (for instance: Project Life) where the middle is taken up with four small photos and the top and bottom are made up of two larger landscape oriented photos each. Two of these larger photos have been split up into two smaller ones. With so much going on a page you really don’t need that much extra in terms of embellishments etc. Some journaling is added and a couple of little extras, but the layout predominantly showcases the cute dog in all sorts of poses. Don’t forget to include a photo of yourself with the dog!

Big Sweetie Dog Layout

This “Big Sweetie” certainly deserves this cute colorful layout! Again a very good main photo was chosen and a grid of four smaller photos was added. Each of the photos has its own colorful frame, matching the color scheme of the page beautifully. I love the choice of bright blues and green and I absolutely adore the chevron patterned paper that is added both to the top and bottom of the page. Notice the design triangle of sweet little flowers! They are the perfect finishing touch to this cute page.

Thy Name Is Dog Layout

Observant readers may have notice the big “DOG” embellishment on the scrapbook layout two pages ago. In this awesome layout, the embellishment is enlarged and used as the dominant extra on the page. It is title and journaling all in one and it fits just perfectly with the beautiful photo of the dog. The photo is cropped horizontally, leaving “white” space in the form of a gorgeous dark brown background. The thin horizontal lines (one solid and one dotted) running above the photo are the perfect finishing touched and anchor the photo cluster to the background. Notice the little red heart, the only color pop on the page, near the dog’s nose. I love the simplicity of this page. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Catching Z’s Dog Layout

This dog is sleeping with abandon. She inspired her owner to create this sleepy zzz-filled layout. All those different pink tone z’s are so much fun! What a great idea! I love the circle format: both the z’s are in a circle as are the snoozing clouds. This layout was made with a great eye for detail. I love the cloud die cuts, the little stars and hearts that are scattered all over the page and the three little arrows pointing at the photo. Excellent work!

Adorable Pug Layout

Source: Pinterest

This little pug is clearly enjoying some quality snuggle time. This photo (and layout!) really are quite #adorbs! The black and white photo is stacked on a lovely colorful patterned paper strip, running vertically on the right side of the page. The colors from the flowers are picked up in the big embroidered heart (love love love that heart!) and in the many little hearts. Journaling is added in strips under the “#adorbs” title, and some flower clusters are the perfect finishing touches. But let’s get back to that big stitched heart: how cool is that?

Wet-Nosed Bandit Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This “wet-nosed bandit” is all tuckered out in the photo, but there’s no doubt this cute dog can be very mischievous! I love photos of sleeping animals, they all look so peaceful! The layout is quite classic, sticking a brown and army green color palette. I love the polka dot patterned paper. Ribbon is added on several places on the page. I particularly love the circle of ribbon tags featuring the letter “B” of the “Bandit” title word.

Girl’s Best Friend Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Not only are dogs man’s best friend, they are also a girl’s best friend. The cute black and white photo on this page proves just that! And what a cute page this is! I love the choice in patterned paper backgrounds, especially the top grey one with the swirls etc. The color pop comes from the paper background on the lower half of the page and the magnificent paper doily flowers! What a fun and creative idea! I love that different colored flowers were added, as well as different sizes. The title is wrapped around one of the flowers, pulling the whole layout together.

Dreaming Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Another sweetly dreaming canine! The owner of this snoozing dog made this layout to document all the different things her dog could be dreaming about. What a wonderful idea! And as the pictures show, this dog has her priorities in place! She dreams about his owner, a nice juicy bone, spending quality time on the couch and chasing anything that moves. What more could a dog want out of life? This funny layout has a wonderfully colorful striped background and a big lettered title. Both these elements, as well as the little dog embellishment add to the whimsical nature of the page. Very well done!

Naughty Dog Letter Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This is a naughty dog! I mean, the title says so! Bailey the wiener dog has written a letter to his human mommy detailing all her wants and needs. Such a smart dog! And such a great idea to document a dog this way. In having the dog speak up for themselves you can highlight all the quirks and funny things about him or her. The letter is part of a very nice layout. The main photo is cut out from its background, putting more emphasis on the dog herself. Cute little photos are lined up horizontally across the bottom of the page, showing Bailey in different stages of being naughty. Now you can’t say you haven’t been warned!

Ransom Note Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This is a cute layout for a cute dog! I love the title, both the sentiment and the execution. It almost looks like one of those ransom letters with all the different fonts and sizes. The two photos are matted on various paper strips running horizontally across the page. Finishing touch to this stack is the red scalloped edge. The whole cluster has been put on the lower half of the page with the title and a couple of embellishments are balancing out the upper half. The result is this very sweet layout with lot of scrumptious white space!

Refined Minimalistic Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Simple, minimalistic and very refined. This layout is absolutely gorgeous. All the elements are carefully chosen and placed, resulting in a very sophisticated page. The photo itself is adorable, again a sweetly sleeping dog. The title is sweet. I love those two fonts together! The journaling, the stitched bunting and the little paw print are all centered on the page, giving a very beautifully balanced look. Notice how the photo and the row of bunting have some added drop shadow. This gives a little more depth to the page.

Christmas Puppy Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

I love those big puppy paws! And the dog himself is very cute too! This page celebrates the first day of puppy Moose at his owners home. Moose is not scared of a little snow. He has his little tail wagging! The layout is very cute and, given the time of year, a bit Christmassy. The 3D hearts hanging from the top of the page combine the Christmas season beautifully with the arrival of this little dog. The red color used in some of these hearts is echoed (hello designer triangle!) in the heart stacked on top of the left photo and the red circle tucked behind the photo cluster in the top right corner. The journaling strips are the same color as the photo mat. Notice the stitched rows on the photo mat and the paint splatters across the page. These bring some extra playfulness to the page!

Dog House Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This dog resides in this very chic dog house! It is a great idea to use larger shapes (in this case a dog house) with cut-outs as a base for adding your photo grid. This grid contains three photos, all differently shaped and one photo in black and white. The rest of the cut-outs are filled with journaling and different pieces of patterned paper. Three flower clusters provide a red pop of color, echoed in the word “DOG” and in the paw print background in the center of the house. The flower clusters form a design triangle. Notice how the papers of the background are layered and rounded off. This, together with the little hearts and stars added to different parts of the page, add to the whimsical feel of the layout. Excellent work!

Groovy Graphic Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This is a very graphic looking layout. And I’m not only talking about the way the dog is positioned on the photo, requiring a bit of creative editing for decency’s sake. Hahaha, that strategically placed little red flower made me laugh out loud! The graphic style of this layout is clear in the font and background choice, as well as the grungy way the rest of the page is decorated. I love the teal blue color splashes arranged in a design triangle. The die cut clusters and little hearts surrounding the photo are the perfect finishing touches. The little strip of striped paper or washi tape on the left side of the page pull the layout together. But the star of the show is definitely the alluringly posed dog and the fitting title! The title also could have been” Paint me like one of those French ladies”!

Good Boy Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This dog is clearly a good boy! What a sweet face. I love it when dogs look like they are smiling! The layout is kept simple, thereby emphasizing the three main photos. The color scheme is quite masculine and muted, combining gorgeous pieces of patterned paper. I really love the dotted one on top of the photo cluster and the big banner with the blue butterfly. The title is beautifully kept in the same brown color and it overlaps the photos slightly, creating a bit of depth to the page. I love the different sized banners hanging from the photo cluster. This adds a bit of whimsy!

Angled Puppy Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Cute title, cute dog! I really love those big cut out letters filled with patterned paper. The creator of this page chose to angle all the page elements and clustering them slightly off-center to the right of the layout. This instantly creates interest and playfulness. The off-center cluster is balanced by the “Rudi” tag in the left upper corner of the page. The dog himself is indeed adorable. He’s one of those dogs where you have to guess where the eyes are! Some cute embellishments are added as finishing touches. My personal favorites are the little paw prints.

Ethereal Dream Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This layout is quite different and ethereal looking. The light bright photos combined with the light and bright pastel color choice elevate the page to a whole new level. The two photos are very similar, or even the same: an interesting choice! The photos are also kept quite small, leaving lots of space for the many added embellishments. And a lot of very cute embellishments were added! Not only were the photos stacked on top of a big pile of paper pieces, they were also clustered together in one big embellishment frenzy of die cut frames, flowers, leaves and cut-out patterned paper shapes. Notice some of the square pieces of patterned paper even have some stitching on their borders! There certainly is a lot to see on this page!

Yellow Color Pop Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Meet Emmy, the cutest dog in the history of dogs! What a fantastic photo! The dog herself is kept in black and white with a bright yellow flower. This happy yellow color is also used in the rest of the page. The basic layout is a simple grid, but the layering of brightly colored patterned papers, bit title letters and cute embellishments make for an interesting looking and very cute page. I love the little die cute heart embellishments, but the star of the show is undoubtedly Emmy herself! Just look at that face!

Best Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Cooper is the “Best Dog”, no doubt a fitting title. He looks very alert in this photo. I really love the unusual angle of the picture and, of course, the big polka dotted background! The journaling is done on separate paper strips and numbers all the great things that make Cooper the best dog! The photo, cute journaling, big title letters and cute embellishments (and that awesome big polka dot patterned paper background!) make for a very sweet and funny page. Good dog, Cooper!

Polaroid Grid Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

“Me & You”, this adorable polaroid grid-style layout is all about the relationship between a man and his dog. And what a cute little pug he or she is! There are several ideas on this page that are just too good not to discuss. Perhaps you’ll be inspired to use them yourself! First of all: Notice the selfies of the owner and his dog. It is nice to take photos of your kids together with the dog, but don’t forget to put yourself in the frame every now and then! Secondly, the polaroid grid is a great way of adding lots of photos to a layout. Here, the creator of this page has added only seven photos to a grid of 20. The rest of the spots are filled up with cute patterned paper and embellishments. This way, it is almost like you’re “discovering” the photos amidst the colorful fun on the page.

A Boy And His Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This happy layout features an adorable photo of a boy and his dog. What a cute photo! The page is decorated with colorful patterned paper and a couple of sweet embellishments. I love that light blue combo! Notice the grid format dividing the center of the page into three vertical columns. The main photo takes up two-thirds of the space and the third column is filled with the journaling, title and the smaller photo. The felt heart and puppy embellishments are the perfect finishing touch and add depth (and a high “cuddle”-factor) to the page.

Puppy Love Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Another adorable photo! What is it about kids and puppies that photographs so well? The photo is fantastic with great lighting and super-cute subjects. It would have done well on its own. But the creator of this page made the layout even cuter by adding a big 3D heart and 3D title. Those embellishments are very cute themselves! I love that gingham word “Love” and all the little buttons added to the page. And the type font journaling is just awesome!

Minimalistic Heart Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

This is a dog that knows he or she is loved. But just to make sure, those exact words are added as journaling to the polaroid-style photo and a big, almost golden colored heart is put on the page as well. The layout is classy and sophisticated. I love the use of the strips of black and white chevron patterned paper. The muted teal blue color pop comes from little heart embellishments as well as some paint splatters on the background. But the biggest attraction on the page, apart from the photo of the magnificent beast itself, is the big heart put slightly off-center behind the image. The 3D black flower is the perfect finishing touch to this stylish and minimalistic layout.

Peek-A-Boo Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Look at that cute furry face peeking out! That is such a great angle to photograph your dog! The title of the page says “That Look” and this layout is indeed all about the expression on the dog’s face. The peek-a-boo cut-out of the top layer of patterned paper emphasis the featured photo even more! What a wonderful idea! I love the array of unmatched buttons holding the cut-out paper “flaps” in place. And I absolutely adore how those folded away pieces form a star shape around the photo. Exquisite! The choice of color for the patterned paper is lovely, love that light blue theme, it looks great in contrast with the dark brown of the dog and the title.

Meet The Pack Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Meet “The Pack”. This group of cute canines is immortalized in this grid-style layout. Each of the dog photos is numbered and matches with some journaling about that particular dog on the bottom half of the page. This is a great idea when you want to show off your photos without that “pesky” journaling “messing” up your perfect photo grid! The rest of the page is kept quite simple. Balancing tag embellishments are added (love that leaf doodle on the bottom one!) as well as some cute small heart. I love the choice of chipboard letters for the title. Those letters really pop of the page!

Simple Puppy Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

What a cute little pup! How could you not make a layout with this adorable photo! It practically makes itself! And, indeed, the page is kept quite minimal, giving all the focus to the sweet little dog photo. The color scheme matches the fur of the dog with a range of light browns and greys. I love the little banner bunting under the photo, balanced out by the angled piece of paper with the word “Sweet” above it. The little swirl embellishments pull the page together. The little light-brown hearts are the perfect finishing touch to a very sweet layout.

My Schmoopie Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

“My Schmoopie”, what a great title for this page. Little Malcolm is indeed a little schmoop! He has the loveliest and fuzziest of little dog faces! Again, muted colors are chosen of this layout, matching the colors of the photo. The color pop comes from the big wooden XO letters. Notice how the photo is matted on both a horizontal strip of patterned paper and on a vertical one. This creates immediate interest and some playfulness to what otherwise could be a boring grid. The horizontal strip of chevron paper is aided by a small strip of paw print paper (or washi tape) below it and a dotted line above. Those are the finishing touches you’d want to add to give a little more depth to your page.

Officially Irresistible Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

In answer to the question posed: No, I seriously couldn’t resist this cute puppy face. What an adorable dog and what a great photo. It definitely earns the stamp ” Officially IRRESISTIBLE” that has been put on this layout. There is no question about which photo on this layout is the star! And the creator of this layout could have left it at that one single photo, but even more cute small photos are added in a little filmstrip running on the bottom of the page. This is always a fun idea to use when you want to add more photos! The added brackets draw your eyes to the photos that are most important: first, of course, the big one, and second the small one with the dog and the kid together. Cute idea!

Snow Hound Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

If your dog likes to play in the snow too, take an extra good look at this layout! The cute “Snow Hound” dog is featured in one main photo and four small ones, arranged in a grid. The lovely little flower embellishments add some playfulness to the page, as does the non-straight edged of the light background paper matted on the dark paper. These background paper colors match those of the dog! I just love those snow frolicking photos! So take your dog and your camera outside and have a great photo shoot in the snow!

Playing Dogs Layout

Love that title: “Talk to the paws because the ears are not listening!!”. These dogs clearly love to play together. And they make a cute couple! I love the way the three photos are taken only seconds apart, creating a sort of filmstrip movement on the page. Each photo is matted with a different color patterned paper and all the different colors used are matched in the title colors. The little “rolls'” of patterned paper stacked under the main photo are a great finishing touch. Love that idea!

Orange Puppy Layout

Source: Pinterest

Cute pup and cute girl, you can’t make an ugly scrapbook page using a photo like that! The color scheme of the scrapbook layout is inspired by the colors of the photo. I never realized how beautifully orange and grey mixed together! What a glorious color combo! The photo is stacked on top of several square pattern paper pieces and embellished with all different kinds of flowers. The background is cut in half using a triangle piece of lovely small flower card stock. This is a great idea and gives the page a more interesting look almost instantly. It is important to keep the focus on the main photo, however, so don’t go overboard!

Good Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Just look at this smiling “Good Dog Ginger”! Such a sweet dog! Her large photo is put on a simple layout – no need to improve on perfection! The photo is placed left of center with a strip of patterned paper and cute fire hydrant embellishment (love that little button!!) balancing out the right side. Both sides are pulled together by the title, part of which runs down the middle vertically and part of which is enlarged and runs across both page halves. I love the playful font of the title and the different letter sizes used in the word “Ginger”.

Elegant Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

This layout features a proper portrait of a dog! It’s like she sat down and actually posed for the photo! So cute. The photo is round and framed with an elegant wire-type photo frame. The layout has a color scheme using dark pink, green and yellow with a grey/brown background. Notice that the pattern of the background “fades” in the middle where all the action is. This way it isn’t too busy in the middle and doesn’t distract from the main focus of the page. I love the way the pattern paper strips are layed out in a playful stack supporting the photo. A design triangle of flower clusters is added, with the emphasis on the flower cluster near the photo. The little vine of leaves sticking out from the center cluster and the two little butterflies are the perfect finishing touches.

This layout features a lovely closeup of a sweet-looking dog. The journaling says “I love you from your wet nose to your wagging tail” and that is not difficult to believe! The embellishments used on this page are very cute dog-themed pieces. I love the little paw prints running towards the “Dog Days” title! The red dog house, the balls and the two dog bowls are very cute too. The strip of green colored grass ground the dog house scene to the bottom of the page. There is overlap of the photo with the title and with the dog house. This pulls the different elements and areas of the page together. The little scallop borders running above the grass and across the dog house are such a fun finishing touch!

Colorful Pug Layout

This layout has a lot of very awesome parts. First of all, the title is brilliant! “If Frank ruled the world”, what a great way to prompt journaling about this “fiercesome” looking pug! I wish the resolution of the page was large enough to actually read the journaling, but I suspect that a lot of cuddles and snacks would be amongst the first of emperor Frank’s demands.

The second awesome part, of course, is the photo of Frank itself. It is such a bright and crisp photo that captures Frank’s character and lovely face beautifully.

And the third part is the layout itself: the photo and journaling rightly take pride of place on the page, but a close second is that gorgeous colorful banner horizontally running across the bottom of the page. Those colors are amazing!

My Best Friend Dog Layout

When you have such a great photo of your best friend, there really is no need to add a lot to create a great layout. I love the idea of the little tags with the beautiful characteristics of this gorgeous and sweet dog. It is such a refreshing take on traditional scrapbooking pages! And it really says it all about your best friend: the love, loyalty and, of course, the wet-nosed kisses! Sometimes, simple is the best way to go. Excellent layout!

Monster Puppy Layout

Meet “Bear the Monster Puppy”. This enthusiastic looking dog clearly hasn’t lost his active puppy ways! What a wonderful “action shot” of this running dog. I always love the way the ears just flap around when a dog runs.

The layout is very sweet: the apple tree with the tire swing and the little dog embellishment are just the cutest! I love the lacey pattern paper mat behind the photo. The orange color is repeated in the “Bear” title and in the “Beware of DOG” tag.

Cute Puppy Layout

This cute puppy looks like he has a busy day ahead. I mean, there’s even a “to do” list included in this layout. It is indeed a dog’s life! I love the featured photo: how can you resist a furry face like that? And those big puppy dog feet are always so adorable! The doggy to-do list is a brilliant idea for capturing the activities of your young pup and the items on the list can be illustrated with the small photo banner on top of the page. From the look of things “napping” is on top of the list! I’m sorry that the resolution of this picture isn’t better, that makes it very difficult to read the journaling. It is a sweet layout featuring a sweet puppy!

Vintage Looking Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

Another sweetly snoozing dog! Hence the title “Snooze all day”. This layout has a bit of a vintage look with the muted color choice and grungy looking patterned papers and embellishments. The photo is stacked on top of several page elements that all cluster very well together. Notice the little sun peeking out from behind the cluster. I also love the dark colored swirls that are added to both sides of the cluster. They give the page a bit more playfulness. But the start of the page remains the photo. This is clearly a pup that you could just snuggle all day! Such a sweet furry face!

Day In The Life Dog Layout

What a great closeup of this dog. His long snout gives the photo such a cool perspective! A pie chart shows us what this dog’s day looks like, a very cool idea. You get to scrapbook about your dog and do some stash busting as well! Again, too bad the resolution of the picture isn’t better, but the idea still stands firm. What does your dog do all day? Snooze on the couch? Beg for treats? Run around in the dog park? So many things to do in a doggie day! The rest of the layout is kept minimal. Great idea, great layout!

Paw Print Dog Layout

Aw! Such a cute photo! And such a cute paw print layout! What a great idea to use a cut-out paw print (filled with even more paw prints!) as the background for your photo! “Some best friends have paws”, indeed! The cute embellishments are clustered around the page. The torn “bark/woof” patterned paper running vertically on the left side of the page gives the page a whimsical look. The sweet gingham banner on a string pulls the page elements together.

Dog House Layout

Source: Pinterest

There is so much goodness in this layout, let’s get started right away! First of all: the colorful dog house, cut from dog-themed patterned paper: what a great idea! It provides the color pop for this page. Second: the photo of the dog saying “I’m in the dog house”. He’s a bit muddy, but still very cute! And how brilliant is the idea to cut out his paw and let it stick out? This way you create instant “movement” on your page. Thirdly, the green grass “mountain” the dog house stands on. It looks brightly colorful and anchors the dog house cluster to the bottom of the page. And finally: let’s talk about that embroidered sun and clouds. I mean, how perfect are they? If they had been cut from paper the whole layout would have probably looked too “cartoony”. These stitched sun and clouds lend an air of sophistication and fun to the whole layout. Excellent work!

Hiking In Nature Dog Layout

I love a simple photo grid, especially if the photos are all just stunning. Such great light and nature! And a wonderful dog, of course! Each of these photos would have been great enlarged main photos, what a great photo session! The photo grid is put on the top of the page, keeping the rest of the page quite simple is a journaling banner and some patterned paper. The photo grid therefore completely draws the eye, particularly the stunning portrait of this beautiful dog!

Royal Puppy Layout

Source: Pinterest

Please bow, we’re in the presence of royalty. Little Prince Harry is a very fluffy and very cute dog. And this photoshoot has delivered many very sweet photos! I love the photo grid of the smaller photos showing both close-ups and full body shots. And I love the way the larger photo is presented: half cut off in the bottom right corner of the page. This leaves some white space in the right upper corner whilst focussing our eyes on the close up of the furry ear and snout of this cute dog. The swirly “Up Close & Personal” words and, of course, the little red heart providing a color pop, are the perfect finishing touches.

Blossom Dog Layout

I love these “tongue-out-of-mouth” photos! And the little black doggy nose! This brilliant photo is put on a beautiful scrapbook layout. There is ample journaling and cute flower embellishments provide the page with a pop of color. Notice how the orange flowers, the picket fence (embellished with orange flowers) and the orange toadstool create a design triangle. Blue is also masterfully repeated throughout the layout in the title with the polka dot ribbon underneath, the blue mushroom cap and the blue first letter of the journaling. The vertical row of little enamel dots in the upper left corner next to the journaling is a cute finishing touch.

Interview Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

The low resolution of this image makes it quite difficult to read the journaling. It is an interview with the little girl about the dog, hence the title “What She Said”. This is such a cute idea! It is very clear from the added photos that these two are the best of friends. When asked “What is her (the dog’s) favorite chew toy?” the girls giggles and answers: “Me”. So cute! The layout is as lighthearted as the subject and the bright colored photos. I love the title letters, not sure if they are stamped or some other technique was used, but the result is excellent!

Grunge Pup Layout

Source: Pinterest

This dog simply is too cute to not have his (or her) own scrapbook page. What an adorable photo! I love the grunge-type layering style and paint splattering with the green stamped color pop. I wouldn’t have minded if the photo had been a little bigger, just to see the cuteness that is this dog a little better, but as it is, the page element proportions are just perfect! Well done, creator of this page! The little green butterfly is the perfect finishing touch.

Circle Grid Layout

Source: Pinterest

“Little Miss Dita”  is one cute pup! Just look at that face! Adorable! The three photos are arranged grid-like with the title taking the place of a possible fourth photo. The grid is framed by a large dog-colored scalloped circle, adding a little playfulness to the page. Notice that the photos stick out over this circle frame, as does the big letter “D” from the title. This adds some extra dimension to the layout. I love the contrasting light blue polka dot patterned paper mat. And the pink flower with the rhinestone heart in the center of the photo grid is a cute finishing touch!

Mischieveous Puppy Layout

It is easy to see that this young pup is full of mischief. Not only has he actually caught a giraffe, he’s already looking around for the next victim to attack. Careful, it might be you and some serious snuggling will follow! It is such a cute photo. And it is matted on a piece of adorable doggy patterned paper. The title (and name of the dog) is spelled in dark brown letters, matching the dog’s color! The little dog embellishments framing the photo, together with the piece of string and the little dark brown bow are the perfect finishing touches.

Big Title Dog Layout

Meet Bert! Written in such big letters, there can be little doubt about this dog’s name! I love the idea of using scraps of patterned paper to fill out big cut-out letters. The papers chosen for this purpose are so cute and I love their matted color scheme. The colors are continued in the colorful journaling strips and the “Bark” letters in the bottom right corner of the page. The little cluster of embellishments with the doghouse and the little pup is so cute!

“Every Dog” Layout

“Every dog needs a boy”, don’t you just love the twist in the title? And these two seem made for each other. That is one impressive dog by the way! I love his big furry face. The photo is definitely the star of the page and the rest of the layout is kept relatively simple. The photo is matted on some strips of (very cute!) patterned paper. Some adorable dog embellishments are added and the little buttons that are added to different sites of the paper are the perfect finishing touches!

White Space Dog Layout

This layout is full of white space and is a feast for the eyes. The background is a lovely blue-ish color filled with very faint organic shapes. The photo is turned to black and white, except for the little dog, putting the emphasis right on the little nose-licking puppy. The title is added straight to the photo itself, as is some journaling. I, myself, love using white space on a photo to add some words. The page elements are all clustered together. I love the little pink heart. It provides a little pop of color. And I love the chevron arrows!

Colorful Grid Dog Layout

Another grid! Photo grids are so useful and handy! And this one is executed perfectly. Only two photos are added (and very cute ones at that!) and the rest of the grid is filled with different sized pattern paper pieces (don’t you just adore that pink flower paper?), some banners and some embellishments. The little strip of striped patterned paper on the left side of the page anchors the photo grid cluster to the layout. A little half circle of notepaper attached to the top of the page contains some journaling.

Summer Dog Layout

The bright and colorful title says it all: SUMMER! And this layout is indeed filled with summery goodness. The photo of the dog playing in the water (“Just Add H2O”), of course, and the fun and light cluster of patterned paper, banners, embellishments and other fun stuff that surround it. I love all the white space on this layout, it really makes the cluster and title stand out even more. The white cardstock is stitched (look carefully!) to a happy yellow background, framing the entire layout in brightness. I love that the yellow patterned paper is echoed in the photo matte and in the rest of the cluster elements. Some water and an enthusiastic dog, that’s all you really need for summer!

Puppy Pair Dog Layout

This adorable pair is documented on a very cute scrapbook layout. What an amazing portrait of the two little dogs! It is almost like they trained especially to have their photo taken! The photo itself is turned to black and white, leaving the color pops to the patterned papers and embellishments that surround it. Notice the thin white line framing the dogs inside of the photo. This adds a bit of dimension tot he page, as well as focuses your eyes even more to the two little pups. The rest of the layout is fairly straightforward. Cute embellishments and some journaling was added. The little red dog house surrounded by the heart is the perfect finishing touch.

Dog Tired Layout

Source: Pinterest

Such a cute photo! I love big photos taking up most of the page, especially if they are as perfect as this one! It means you can keep the rest of the page simple as is the case here! The photo of the tired little pup (love those big puppy paws!) is rounded of at the bottom. This is more playful than just keeping that line straight, excellent choice! Even more movement is added by the darker strip of rounded paper in the middle. The color scheme of the used papers and embellishments fit the colors of the photo perfectly. Cute layout for an adorable pup!

Paper Triangles Dog Layout

The dog looks a little shy in the photo, but it is a very cute photo nonetheless. “Love Her” is the title of the page and the layout has clearly been created with a lot of love. The photo (could have been a bit bigger in my humble opinion…) is put on a background of stacked patterned paper triangle strips. This is a great way to use up those scraps! Notice the design “threesome” formed by the flower embellishments. The color of the flowers matches the color of the title. This way the page is nicely pulled together. I love the colorful polka dot paper! So cute!

Red Circle Dog Layout

This last layout is all about the bit red circle! The photos of the super-cute dog are arranged in a “messy” grid inside this big circle shape. Three flower embellishments form a design triangle, pulling the circle cluster and the background (hello grungy polka dots!) beautifully together. The journaling and title are added in white, which nicely contrasts with the red background. The little green heart is the perfect finishing touch.

Pastel Colored Dog Layout

The photo of this cute dog has pride of place in the middle of the page. The color scheme is mainly pastel greens and oranges with some dark purple thrown in for contrast. The layout is very well put together, balancing both the colors and “weight” of the elements of the title, journaling and flower cluster on the left with the flower cluster and the orange strip of pattern paper background on the right. The title is the cue for the journaling: I’m sure it is not hard to come up with reasons to love this adorable pouch!

Minimalistic Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

It doesn’t get much more minimalistic than this! A photo, a title and very little embellishing. The minimal simplicity works great for this layout. The photo gets all the attention that it deserves and the color pops of the large title letters and the pink pattern paper are the perfect additions to the page. All the elements used are very crisp and color-coordinated, making this layout a pleasure to behold. My personal favorite details on this page are the title letters that are filled up with patterned paper and small hearts. I love that the “G” is only half filled up with paper, giving a little edge to the title.

Plaid Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

I love the darker feel of this page. It starts with the photo where the dog is the brightest spot against a very dark background. This dark color is mirrored in the cute cluster of paw prints around the photo. What a great idea! The bone and title are again very dark, with the red letter color pop resembling the colors of the photo. This also goes for the flannel plaid photo frame and the little dark red hearts scattered throughout the layout. Those are such great finishing touches! The whole page has an instant outdoorsy feel because of the wooden plank background and the added jute string and bow. This layout shows that you can take your inspiration from your main photo and go for it!

Circle Grid Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Such a cute dog! And such a cute layout! The color scheme is kept simple: pink, black and white. Using pink in the layout is undoubtedly inspired by the pink dog leash featured in one of the photos. The main color pop comes from the large pink title. Two smaller photos of the dog are added in the center, framed by cute cartoon photo frames. The photos are layered on top of a white cut-out circle background. The circles are filled with different patterned papers and little embellishments. It’s such a simple but effective setup! A layout like this can be easily scraplifted and adapted to suit your own favorite colors and style.

Artsy Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

What a lovely colorful layout! Those background colors really pop of the page! The colors beautifully contrast with the black and white of the dogs in the photos. This layout can really inspire you to be a little bit more “artsy” with your pages. Try dabbling with some watercolor combinations and just see what happens! The three photos are clustered together with the title and some small word tags. The genius of this layout lies in the stamped hexagons, words, phrases, grids, arrows etc that are layered on top of the watercolors and that pull the whole cluster and page together. What a great idea! The paint splatters and little stars are the perfect whimsical finishing touch.

Snow Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Not only is Chena ten years old she also is an adorable dog that loves snow! Just look at her snow-covered snout, so cute! The layout is kept very simple, the photos are the main focus. The journaling is beautifully edged around the main photo. This way they form a unity. Three small photos are added to the bottom of the page. These are more “action” oriented and tell us a little bit more about the Chena. The yellowish background fits great with the light color of the dog and the title is the perfect contrast color. This layout is a great tribute to a lovely ten-year-old dog!

Creative Writing Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Let’s write the story of your dog! This layout shows us one way of doing just that. It is titled “A Dog Story” (how fitting!) and the journaling start with “Once upon a time”. Allow your creative writing talent to take over from there! The creator of this page has added delightful little drawings in the journaling taking the place of some of the words. Such a great idea! I’m willing to bet that you could tell a lot of stories about your own dog! I love the setup of this page: clearly, the color photo and the journaling are the stars of the show. The layout is embellished with some lovely pattern paper (polka dots really are my favorite!), a title, small black and white photo and a big “S” letter. S for Susie the Dog! So cute!

Royal Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

Such a big page for such a small dog! But we all know that those little cuties often have the biggest personalities! And the title of this layout shows us that this might certainly be the case with this adorable dog! Notice that the dog only takes up about half the photo. This emphasizes the small size of the dog as well as her prominent place in the household. She is the queen after all! The man reading his book is clearly relegated to the background. I love the bright blue of the background paper contrasting with the red swirls. The black color of the journaling (the handwriting is a great personal touch) is mirrored in the paper strips framing the photo. And the white color of the title is repeated in the zigzag stitching of those paper strips.

Green-eyed Dog Layout

What a beautiful dog! And what a great idea to match the colors of the layout to her gorgeous green eyes! You really can’t take your eyes away from that adorable furry face! The layout around the photo is very playful and sweet. The swirl, embellished with flowers, is an ingenious way of adding interest to the page. Love that stitching alongside it! And don’t forget the stitching in the title letters! The journaling fits beautifully underneath the swirl. The white ornate flowers on the left side of the photo are the perfect finishing touch.

Friends Forever Dog Layout

Meet Lauren and Harry, the most adorable couple ever! The whole layout oozes joy and happiness. This is helped by the use of the happy colors pink and light green. If your photo is as awesome as this one you don’t really need a lot more on your page. The creator of this layout, however, has managed to make the page even cuter by adding a large pink flower and a cuddly pink felt title. How incrediblyHow to scrapbook about your dog cool is that flower? And it is so easy to make yourself! I love the patterns cut out from the leaves: each leaf a different one. And the petals of the flower are quite square, such a great idea! The pink felt title is definitely the perfect finishing touch. It is as cuddly as the photo. Perfection!

Circle Puppy Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

“Must Love Dogs” is the title of this layout. And how could you possibly not fall in love with this cute little pup? The page is quite simple. The large title is stamped in a circle around the round photo. The circle theme is carried on with three green circles, forming that famous design triangle whilst also providing the color pop. When you read the journaling that is cleverly printed in a circle around the title, you’ll find out where the inspiration for all these circles comes from! I love the color scheme with the blue and green!

Pint Sized Dog Layout

This little pup is beyond adorable. I mean, it really doesn’t get any cuter than this! I love the photo of the little dog between the legs. It is a great way of showing how tiny the little puppy is! Since the photo is undoubtedly the star of the show, the rest of the layout is kept fairly simple. The title (such a great title!!) takes up most of the remaining space. The muted brown and green color scheme allows the colors of the photo (the blue jeans and the red of the pug’s little kerchief) to pop and draw attention. The finishing touch is the cute paw print ribbon across the page. Looking at the little pug those paw prints are probably life size!

Close up Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

I love the simplicity and color scheme of this layout. The main photo is a gorgeous close up of “Ozzie, anointed official attack dog”, probably looking a little bit more innocent than he actually is. The black and white of the dog is beautifully offset by the red heart embellishment and red color blocking behind the second photo close up. The journaling about Ozzie is precious. Don’t be afraid to tell all about your dog! And don’t hold back from going in very close when doing a photo session with your pet. The results may astound you and inspire you to create wonderful layouts like this one.

Wiener Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

This little couple is so cute! The photo session with the two dogs has been very successful. Notice that the photos are taken from above, with the dogs looking up. On the individual “portraits” the head is in focus and the rest of the body is kept blurry. This is a great way to draw immediate attention to their cute little faces. I love the minimalist set up of the page. The three equally sized photos are put in a vertical grid, leaving space on either side to add pattern paper, journaling and embellishments.  The colors of the lettering are inspired by those lovely polka dots. I love the detail of the colored red and green lines running across the page. They provide a sort of frame for the photos, but also divide the left side of the page into three journaling spaces.

Photo Grid Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;
Source: Pinterest

What a cute and colorful layout! The photos of the large hairy dog and the little girl are absolutely precious. The creator of this layout decided to include more than one and I’m glad she did! The main photo is featured in the top left corner of the page and is surrounded by a grid of smaller photos. Despite having so many different sized photos in it, this grid works perfectly. That is mainly due to the “sameness” of the photos. The rest of the page is filled with happy colors and very cute embellishments. The little flowers are adorable, I love how they are all quite different and still cluster well together. The main red color pop comes from the big red heart that also contains some journaling.

You Melt My Heart Dog Layout

dog scrapbooking layout ideas; dog layout ideas; scrapbooking dog pages; dog memory keeping; scrapping about dogs;

Simple, refined and super-cute: this layout has it all! The color pop mainly comes from the two photos of the adorable on the fuchsia couch pillows. The rest of the page is kept simple and refined. The muted colored hearts are a brilliant touch and I love the little staples! A fuchsia pink piece of ribbon is stitched under the left photo, mirroring the pop of color found in the photos. I also love the choice of typewriter font. It fits the sophisticated look of this layout perfectly. The grunge coloring around the edge of the page and the (mostly covered) stamping behind the photos give this layout a bit of playfulness.

Soccer Dog Layout

Some dogs can help themselves: they have to play with balls and love to fetch. And this handsome fellow is no exception! I just love the way dog’s cheeks look when they have something large in their mouths. Yes, I’m a little bit weird… Anyway, the photo is kept in black and white, leaving all the color to the surrounding patterned papers and embellishments. But there is absolutely not a shadow of a doubt that the photo is the star of the page! There is a sporty theme with the green stamped “all-stars”. Apart from the bright red color pop of the title and dotted ribbon the colors of the layout focus on green and blue. The three white circles vertically stacked in the top right corner of the page are the perfect finishing touch.

Learn From Dogs Layout.

The black eyes and nose of this all white dog just jump out at you! The muted color scheme includes a large block of adorable doggy specific patterned paper with all different circles. But what I love most about this page is the theme, title and journaling. “Things We Could Learn From Dogs”: what a great idea for a scrapbook layout! What those things are, according to the creator of this page, are very subtly written around the edge of the page. You really have to look for it if you don’t know what it is! I would not have minded one bit if those wonderful life lessons were given a little bit more prominence on the page. Perhaps this way, when you have to “work”  for it, those doggy taught lessons will stick with you a little better. Let’s hope so! It will make this world a better place.

Pluto Dog Layout

What do you do when you don’t want to make a boring grid of those five cute Pluto photos you want to document? Right! You ask Pluto for his autograph and add your photos to that! Using a paw print template for your doggy photos is a very cute idea! And the paw print theme is enthusiastically continued throughout the rest of the page with lots and lots of bright yellow prints. Feature your main photo in the biggest cut-out and group the rest of your favorite photos around it. Simple and very effective!

Lots Of Hearts Dog Layout

There is no doubt that the creator of this scrapbook layout loves her two little dogs. She includes so many hearts! All the different patterned paper hearts are stitched to the page with a zigzag stitch. What a great stash busting idea! Keep the photo in black and white and don’t go overboard with the different colored papers. Don’t forget to make the hearts all different, this looks more playful. Also notice the little stars, arrows, brads and other cute embellishments added to the page. Such a fun look!

Paper Flower Dog Layout

This layout is very stylish and sophisticated. The different colored paper flowers cluster beautifully together in a horizontal band across the middle of the page. The black and white photo of the dog is lovingly surrounded by all these beautiful pastel color scheme. The title is white on white, a subtle touch that works well with the rest of the page. Notice the vertical stitching sticking out from the top of the cluster: all different lengths and colors. Further playfulness is added to the page by tiny colorful paint splatters on the white background. I absolutely love this layout. And I want to know how to make those paper flowers!

“Are we havin fun yet?”, what a great idea for a title! This dog clearly got tired of waiting for the good times to begin. I mean, why does it take the human so long to get ready to take me outside? We’ll never know… The photo of the weary dog has pride of place. Notice how the photo is taken at eye level with the dog. This gives a certain perspective to the photo and you get a good look at the dog’s cute little snout. The page itself is kept simple. Some cute paper strips were added, some journaling and a couple of embellishments. The expression on the dog’s face is what draws you in. Let’s get ready for our walk already!

Daily Dog Diary Layout

As a dog, you can get quite busy. All those things that need to be sniffed, all those belly rubs that need to be received! No wonder that the owner of this cute dog decided to document her dog’s daily schedule. What a fun idea! The journaling is very funny and I think the dog much be absolutely exhausted at the end of each day. How do those dogs fit so many important things into only 24 hours? They are truly magical creatures. That love cuddles. Don’t forget to schedule those cuddles! Different patterned paper strokes make up the tasks at different times of the day and a few flowers are added as embellishments. This is a very cute layout and an excellent idea to use for your own dog pages!

Pastel Dog Layout

The dog on the photo is wrapped in a pastel pink blanket. The creator of the page used that pastel as inspiration for the color scheme of this layout. Different pastel watercolor stripes are painted on the left side of the page and the right side of the page is covered with a cute words pattern paper. The photo itself is clustered on top of pastel-colored flowers and fruits. The little butterfly is the perfect finishing touch.

Colorful Dog Layout

“Dogs add color to our lives”. This title firmly sets the theme for this page. The photo is kept in black and white. The background on the left side of the page is painted with bold rainbow colored stripes. These colors are mirrored in the word “color” of the title. White polka dots (painted using a stencil) overlay the painted colors adding depth to the page. The right side of the layout is predominantly kept black and white, with the striped border and the cute little silhouette of the sitting dog. Tiny paint splatters pull the two sides together and give the page a whimsical feel. Cute layout! Notice the “1” instead of an “i” in the title word “lives”. Don’t let your lack of supplies hold you back! Be creative with what you have!

Best Buddies Dog Layout

These two cuties are best buddies, that is clear for all to see! This adorable couple is documented in a fun heart-filled layout. The two main photos are put side by side of the bottom half of the page. the upper half is filled with colorful hearts filled with little paw prints. What a cute Idea! One bigger heart has some journaling in it and a handful of embellishments are added to the page. The title, together with the photos make the theme of the page very clear. All in all, this is a lovely layout celebrating these two best doggy buddies!

Red Dog Layout

The dog is black and the layout is red! I love the color scheme for this page. Red always pairs well with black. The two photos of the dog are adorable. That dog is ready for either some play time of some serious snuggling. The dominant red of the background paper is eased down by adding some other colors and the whole color scheme of the page is pulled together by the strip of striped patterned paper on the right side of the layout. The circle embellishments of the little polka dot heart, the little bone and paw print are adorable. The title is the right size and beautifully color-matches with the rest of the layout. Good dog, Copper!

Silhouette Dog Layout

This beautiful sunset silhouette beach photo is added to a very colorful layout. In my opinion, the colors could have been a little bit better chosen to mirror the serenity of the photo. The main reason I wanted to include this layout is to show the photo itself. It is a great idea to get some action shots of your dog. Or, you, know, at least try to get then, I know action photography is quite difficult. This almost “pre-action” beach shot is perfect. It clearly shows the anticipation of the dog waiting for the ball to be thrown. It is a great moment, captured in a beautiful way. Get out that camera when your dog is playing, or when you’re are going on a long hike together and get some cool nature action shots!

Beautiful Dog Layout

“Beautiful”, the title is very clear. But just to make sure, an arrow is added to the source of all that beauty! And yes, the dog is adorable. I love these big titles. They are very graphic, very versatile and a great stash busting opportunity! Those chosen patterned papers are very cute. I love those colorful tiny flower patterns! To give your eyes a little bit of rest, not all the letters are filled with those busy papers, a smart design touch! The added embellishments are very cute as well and fit the big title perfectly. Notice how the three clusters of embellishments form one of those “design triangles”!

Go Dark And Gothic

Yes, you can go cute and adorable when scrapping your Halloween page, but a true fan of the season will prefer the dark and gothic look. Whether classic Bram Stoker or doused in blood and gore: there’s a look for every Halloween fan! Let’s take a look at some of the dark, gothic and gruesome looks that some of our fellow scrapbookers have come up with.

Go Dark And Gothic Halloween Layout Ideas Scrapbooking

This first layout is the perfect example of a classic (and classy!) gothic look. I absolutely adore this look. The photo is fantastic and completely dominates the page. Every embellishment (don’t you just love that black lace?) fits the theme and the color scheme perfectly. This kind of design would also be great for steampunk fans. I love the fact that the woman has a bird in her hand and two ravens with scary orange eyes have been added as embellishments. This layout just has it all: texture, great clustering, color pops and a feature photo that totally deserves pride of place.

This layout is completely different, but still quite dark. The photo subjects are zombies and the grungy type background fits this theme perfectly. This page is a great example that you can achieve a wonderfully scary effect even in a simple layout. I love the faded and grunge background and dirt streaks. The curled up and torn “Happy Halloween” tickets are the perfect finishing touch. The stamped vintage photo corners pull the whole layout together. The color pop on this page comes from the zombie blood: it doesn’t get more Halloween than that!

I love the blood red color scheme of this layout. The makeup and costume documented in the featured photo are amazing! Now that is a proper zombie! The creator of this page took the red of the zombie blood and ran with it. She chose a gorgeous dark red grunge background, but the fantastic flower cluster absolutely steals the show! This flower cluster, together with the white color pop of the photo, dominates this layout. Notice the eye as the heart of one of the red flowers. Finishing touches are the little banners tucked under the flower cluster in the middle and the grungy lace paper doily sticking out from behind the photo.

This zombie girl not only looks amazing in her Halloween costume, she also created an amazing Halloween layout. She really didn’t spare the bloody paint streaks and red pops of color. I love the layering of the cut-out doily style frames behind the photo. And I absolutely adore the bandages includes in on the page! What a great idea! The white “Zombie Girl” title, together with the white strips of journaling and the whitish look of the photo create a design triangle. From her journaling, you can absolutely tell how much she loved her costume. This shows in her Halloween scrapbook layout!

A kind of dark layout, but completely different from the layouts already featured in this blog post. The “darkness” predominantly comes from the photos themselves. The photos of the  little zombie kid are printed in black and white, with quite heavy retouching of the light and dark contrast. What a great effect that has! It instantly creates a very Halloween type dark look, which enabled the creator of this page to keep the rest of the layout a little bit “lighter”. This fits with the photo subject being a child. The dark vibes of the photos are nicely offset by the cute ghosts that are stitched onto the page. The perfect finishing touch is the cut-out spider web doily!

“Beware of the Zombies”! And this zombie is particularly fierce looking specimen! This almost monochrome layout fits perfectly in the “darker” Halloween layouts. It’s light background is grungy and the demon embellishment emphasizes the dark look. I love that the embellishments, the gate, the spider webs and of course the little bats, are all in black. They are clustered beautifully on the page, leaving lots of “white” space to rest the eyes. The 3-dimensional effect of the vampire bat wings is the perfect finishing touch.

Grid Up Those Photos!

Even when documenting a scary holiday as Halloween you can always depend on photo grids to create beautiful layouts that contain lots of photos. Here are just a few examples of different kinds of grids being used by other scrapbookers. Got a lot of photos to document? You can never go wrong with a photo grid!

This first photo grid layout is a great example of how a grid can be used to tell a visual story. In this case, some serious pumpkin gut scooping and pumpkin carving action are being documented. The grid almost functions as a graphic novel: you can follow the different steps in of the activities right along! It is not a problem if you can’t fill up your chosen grid size completely: just fill the left-over spaces with cute Halloween embellishments! The photos are kept small and are on a grid in the center of the page. Along the upper and lower border of the grid, the page is embellished with all sorts of fun Halloweeny paper strips etc.

This second layout is a very straightforward photo grid. Every lovely (and scary!) Halloween outfit has a spot of its own on this page. What a great way to document all the different Halloween costumes of one person through the years! You can just see the girl grow up through her Halloween photos! The rest of the page is decorated with cute Halloween drawn embellishments. Keep your photo grid page simple and let the photos tell the story!

Wow. Now this is a photo grid! You just keep on looking on this page, trying to take in the many MANY photos included! I love the way some of the grid is filled with orange pattern paper to create a “pixel” pumpkin. This pumpkin provides some much needed “white” space to rest your eyes a bit. This photo grid is a fantastic way to get a very serious amount of photos on one page. You can use a page like this in your album as the title page introducing more Halloween pages. Or you could print this layout in a large size and create your own Halloween wall art. Every time a person walks by they’ll discover something new! The black “Halloween” title with the cute little black cat on it is just the perfect finishing touch!

Halloween Pages Project Life Edition

Not every scrapbooker still makes traditional scrapbook pages. A lot of us are avid pocket page scrappers (Project Life anyone?), and some do a little bit (or a lot…) of both. So I wanted to include some examples of what a Halloween spread could look like in the pocket page style. So let’s take a look at what some Project Lifers have come up with!

This first layout is a pocket page using non-traditional Halloween colors. The red of the little boy’s outfit and of the Kit Kat candy is the main color on this page. This is emphasized by the use of red heart embellishments. Fortunately, the cute green little spider with its dangerous fangs hovering over the “Happy Haunting” title makes it absolutely clear that this is a Halloween page!

This “Spooktacular” pocket page layout is quite different. The page is very photo-heavy and is filled with colorful photos of cute kids in their Halloween costumes. There’s even a skeleton crawling from its grave! The big title pocket sports the traditional Halloween colors. The whole layout breaths a cheerful and happy Halloween vibe.

Make A Simple Layout Using Handmade Embellishments

You really don’t need to buy all sorts of expensive Halloween patterned papers and embellishments. True, they are often too cute to resist and there is so much choice! But if you are trying to scrapbook on a budget you might spare your wallet a bit of pain by creating your own handmade Halloween embellishments. Just keep it simple, colorful and cute. Use Halloween packaging or create them from scratch. You’ll make that Halloween page completely your own!

Layout designed by Jackscrap79 (Scrapbook.com)

I love the simplicity of this layout with it’s vibrant colors and cute featured photo. You could easily make a similar pumpkin embellishment by cutting out your favorite orange scrapbook paper and glueing pumpkin segment shaped pieces on some black cardstock. The little ghost is not difficult to make either: cut out a ghost shape and draw the face and outline on it with a gold marker pen. When scrapbooking on a budget simple is always the best way to go! I love the handwritten journaling on the spider web card!

This layout shows how simple a Halloween page can be. Just add some scary costume photos to a black background and embellish with handmade items. The ghost and skull can be cut from ordinary white printer paper or, if you prefer something a little more sturdy, some white cardstock. I love the simplicity of these handcut shapes. They are very effective! The title is handwritten on a white piece of paper in a fun font and with the awesome detail of the skull in place of the “o” in “Halloween”. Such a cute detail! The little skull photo corners and little bat are fun additions too.

This layout, again, features some handmade embellishments, but this time the page has a completely different look. This is mainly due to the choice of background paper: so cool to chose those vibrant yellows and oranges! The big title letters are handdrawn and cut out separately – love the reference to those horror movies! The little ghosties were also cut out from some white paper and attached to a piece of string and a brad, so cute! You can make those flowers by adding different faux flower petals together and color them orange. The journaling was computer-written, printed out and matted with some black card stock. This way the writing doesn’t take up a lot of space and you can still add a lot of information. And the absolute stars of the show are the cute photos! The little girl is quite convincingly scary! Great page!

Photo Banner Collages Of Multiple Photos

If you have a lot of photos that fit together in some way, why not try to cluster them together in a photo banner collage? This is a type of grid that is very versatile and that can be used in a very playful way. The great thing about clustering your photos in a banner (whether horizontally or vertically oriented) is that you create a lot of white space on your page that can make your photos really pop. Let’s take a look at some examples!

In this first layout, all the photos together tell one story. The colors and styles of the photos are similar. All these aspects make them great candidates for clustering them together in some way. The creator of the page has chosen to cluster the photos in a horizontal way, using different photo sizes and frames, and arranging them in an almost symmetrical way. The orange of the pumpkin is mirrored in the color of the embellishments and paint smears. The painted black dotted grid behind the photo cluster pulls the cluster together and gives the page some depth. I love the little cluster of pumpkins (and cat!) on the bottom left side of the page!

For this Disney Halloween layout, the photos are arranged in a horizontal, slightly angled, orientation. Again, the photos fit beautifully together as they are probably taken only seconds apart and feature the same subjects in each photo. You can see why it would have been difficult to choose only one feature photo since each individual photo tells a different part of the story. The festive color scheme of the photos (I mean, how adorable is that purple-pink outfit of Minnie Mouse?) is continued on the rest of the page. I love the vibrant orange and purple! The scalloped edge of the papers backing the photos is a fun choice and as per usual I’m a succor for those polka dots! The title cluster is adorable and I love that a lot of journaling was added without being too obtrusive on the page.

This layout shows a very simple banner grid. Three cute photos are lined up horizontally, each at a slightly different angle. I love the polaroid style of the photos, leaving room to add those adorable pumpkin and “Trick Or Treat” embellishments. Most of the other page embellishments are clustered in a vertical orientation on the right-hand side of the page. The title in the upper left corner and the sweet little bat with its polka-dotted wings in the lower left corner balance the page beautifully. I love the “Halloween” title being spelled out with rhinestone letters, so cute! And the heavy black frames around the date and the spider web tags mirror the big black letters of the word “pumpkin” in the title.

The last photo banner layout is completely different. The creator of this page chose a minimalistic approach, with beautiful results! The photo banner is a straight rectangle comprised of many different sized photos. This way you can incorporate both horizontally and vertically oriented photos and even square ones in the same grid banner. The color scheme of the page is light and bright. This matches the photos beautifully. It makes for a very happy looking scrapbook layout. I love the light blue color pop of the frame around the word “fall” in the lower left corner and the square corner near the journaling in the upper right corner. This blue is mirrored in the strip of multicolored pattern paper below the photo banner and in some of the photos themselves. The embroidered leaf next to the journaling and the three brightly colored buttons next to the title “Snapshots” are the perfect finishing touches.
