Catching Z’s Dog Layout

This dog is sleeping with abandon. She inspired her owner to create this sleepy zzz-filled layout. All those different pink tone z’s are so much fun! What a great idea! I love the circle format: both the z’s are in a circle as are the snoozing clouds. This layout was made with a great eye for detail. I love the cloud die cuts, the little stars and hearts that are scattered all over the page and the three little arrows pointing at the photo. Excellent work!

Adorable Pug Layout

This little pug is clearly enjoying some quality snuggle time. This photo (and layout!) really are quite #adorbs! The black and white photo is stacked on a lovely colorful patterned paper strip, running vertically on the right side of the page. The colors from the flowers are picked up in the big embroidered heart (love love love that heart!) and in the many little hearts. Journaling is added in strips under the “#adorbs” title, and some flower clusters are the perfect finishing touches. But let’s get back to that big stitched heart: how cool is that?

Wet-Nosed Bandit Dog Layout

This “wet-nosed bandit” is all tuckered out in the photo, but there’s no doubt this cute dog can be very mischievous! I love photos of sleeping animals, they all look so peaceful! The layout is quite classic, sticking a brown and army green color palette. I love the polka dot patterned paper. Ribbon is added on several places on the page. I particularly love the circle of ribbon tags featuring the letter “B” of the “Bandit” title word.

Girl’s Best Friend Dog Layout

Not only are dogs man’s best friend, they are also a girl’s best friend. The cute black and white photo on this page proves just that! And what a cute page this is! I love the choice in patterned paper backgrounds, especially the top grey one with the swirls etc. The color pop comes from the paper background on the lower half of the page and the magnificent paper doily flowers! What a fun and creative idea! I love that different colored flowers were added, as well as different sizes. The title is wrapped around one of the flowers, pulling the whole layout together.

Dreaming Dog Layout

Another sweetly dreaming canine! The owner of this snoozing dog made this layout to document all the different things her dog could be dreaming about. What a wonderful idea! And as the pictures show, this dog has her priorities in place! She dreams about his owner, a nice juicy bone, spending quality time on the couch and chasing anything that moves. What more could a dog want out of life? This funny layout has a wonderfully colorful striped background and a big lettered title. Both these elements, as well as the little dog embellishment add to the whimsical nature of the page. Very well done!

Naughty Dog Letter Layout

Source: Pinterest

This is a naughty dog! I mean, the title says so! Bailey the wiener dog has written a letter to his human mommy detailing all her wants and needs. Such a smart dog! And such a great idea to document a dog this way. In having the dog speak up for themselves you can highlight all the quirks and funny things about him or her. The letter is part of a very nice layout. The main photo is cut out from its background, putting more emphasis on the dog herself. Cute little photos are lined up horizontally across the bottom of the page, showing Bailey in different stages of being naughty. Now you can’t say you haven’t been warned!

Ransom Note Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

This is a cute layout for a cute dog! I love the title, both the sentiment and the execution. It almost looks like one of those ransom letters with all the different fonts and sizes. The two photos are matted on various paper strips running horizontally across the page. Finishing touch to this stack is the red scalloped edge. The whole cluster has been put on the lower half of the page with the title and a couple of embellishments are balancing out the upper half. The result is this very sweet layout with lot of scrumptious white space!

Refined Minimalistic Dog Layout

Simple, minimalistic and very refined. This layout is absolutely gorgeous. All the elements are carefully chosen and placed, resulting in a very sophisticated page. The photo itself is adorable, again a sweetly sleeping dog. The title is sweet. I love those two fonts together! The journaling, the stitched bunting and the little paw print are all centered on the page, giving a very beautifully balanced look. Notice how the photo and the row of bunting have some added drop shadow. This gives a little more depth to the page.

Christmas Puppy Layout

I love those big puppy paws! And the dog himself is very cute too! This page celebrates the first day of puppy Moose at his owners home. Moose is not scared of a little snow. He has his little tail wagging! The layout is very cute and, given the time of year, a bit Christmassy. The 3D hearts hanging from the top of the page combine the Christmas season beautifully with the arrival of this little dog. The red color used in some of these hearts is echoed (hello designer triangle!) in the heart stacked on top of the left photo and the red circle tucked behind the photo cluster in the top right corner. The journaling strips are the same color as the photo mat. Notice the stitched rows on the photo mat and the paint splatters across the page. These bring some extra playfulness to the page!

Dog House Layout

Source: Pinterest

This dog resides in this very chic dog house! It is a great idea to use larger shapes (in this case a dog house) with cut-outs as a base for adding your photo grid. This grid contains three photos, all differently shaped and one photo in black and white. The rest of the cut-outs are filled with journaling and different pieces of patterned paper. Three flower clusters provide a red pop of color, echoed in the word “DOG” and in the paw print background in the center of the house. The flower clusters form a design triangle. Notice how the papers of the background are layered and rounded off. This, together with the little hearts and stars added to different parts of the page, add to the whimsical feel of the layout. Excellent work!

Groovy Graphic Dog Layout

This is a very graphic looking layout. And I’m not only talking about the way the dog is positioned on the photo, requiring a bit of creative editing for decency’s sake. Hahaha, that strategically placed little red flower made me laugh out loud! The graphic style of this layout is clear in the font and background choice, as well as the grungy way the rest of the page is decorated. I love the teal blue color splashes arranged in a design triangle. The die cut clusters and little hearts surrounding the photo are the perfect finishing touches. The little strip of striped paper or washi tape on the left side of the page pull the layout together. But the star of the show is definitely the alluringly posed dog and the fitting title! The title also could have been” Paint me like one of those French ladies”!

Good Boy Dog Layout

This dog is clearly a good boy! What a sweet face. I love it when dogs look like they are smiling! The layout is kept simple, thereby emphasizing the three main photos. The color scheme is quite masculine and muted, combining gorgeous pieces of patterned paper. I really love the dotted one on top of the photo cluster and the big banner with the blue butterfly. The title is beautifully kept in the same brown color and it overlaps the photos slightly, creating a bit of depth to the page. I love the different sized banners hanging from the photo cluster. This adds a bit of whimsy!

Angled Puppy Dog Layout

Cute title, cute dog! I really love those big cut out letters filled with patterned paper. The creator of this page chose to angle all the page elements and clustering them slightly off-center to the right of the layout. This instantly creates interest and playfulness. The off-center cluster is balanced by the “Rudi” tag in the left upper corner of the page. The dog himself is indeed adorable. He’s one of those dogs where you have to guess where the eyes are! Some cute embellishments are added as finishing touches. My personal favorites are the little paw prints.

Ethereal Dream Dog Layout

This layout is quite different and ethereal looking. The light bright photos combined with the light and bright pastel color choice elevate the page to a whole new level. The two photos are very similar, or even the same: an interesting choice! The photos are also kept quite small, leaving lots of space for the many added embellishments. And a lot of very cute embellishments were added! Not only were the photos stacked on top of a big pile of paper pieces, they were also clustered together in one big embellishment frenzy of die cut frames, flowers, leaves and cut-out patterned paper shapes. Notice some of the square pieces of patterned paper even have some stitching on their borders! There certainly is a lot to see on this page!

Yellow Color Pop Dog Layout

Meet Emmy, the cutest dog in the history of dogs! What a fantastic photo! The dog herself is kept in black and white with a bright yellow flower. This happy yellow color is also used in the rest of the page. The basic layout is a simple grid, but the layering of brightly colored patterned papers, bit title letters and cute embellishments make for an interesting looking and very cute page. I love the little die cute heart embellishments, but the star of the show is undoubtedly Emmy herself! Just look at that face!

Best Dog Layout

Cooper is the “Best Dog”, no doubt a fitting title. He looks very alert in this photo. I really love the unusual angle of the picture and, of course, the big polka dotted background! The journaling is done on separate paper strips and numbers all the great things that make Cooper the best dog! The photo, cute journaling, big title letters and cute embellishments (and that awesome big polka dot patterned paper background!) make for a very sweet and funny page. Good dog, Cooper!

Polaroid Grid Dog Layout

Source: Pinterest

“Me & You”, this adorable polaroid grid-style layout is all about the relationship between a man and his dog. And what a cute little pug he or she is! There are several ideas on this page that are just too good not to discuss. Perhaps you’ll be inspired to use them yourself! First of all: Notice the selfies of the owner and his dog. It is nice to take photos of your kids together with the dog, but don’t forget to put yourself in the frame every now and then! Secondly, the polaroid grid is a great way of adding lots of photos to a layout. Here, the creator of this page has added only seven photos to a grid of 20. The rest of the spots are filled up with cute patterned paper and embellishments. This way, it is almost like you’re “discovering” the photos amidst the colorful fun on the page.

A Boy And His Dog Layout

This happy layout features an adorable photo of a boy and his dog. What a cute photo! The page is decorated with colorful patterned paper and a couple of sweet embellishments. I love that light blue combo! Notice the grid format dividing the center of the page into three vertical columns. The main photo takes up two-thirds of the space and the third column is filled with the journaling, title and the smaller photo. The felt heart and puppy embellishments are the perfect finishing touch and add depth (and a high “cuddle”-factor) to the page.

Puppy Love Dog Layout

Another adorable photo! What is it about kids and puppies that photographs so well? The photo is fantastic with great lighting and super-cute subjects. It would have done well on its own. But the creator of this page made the layout even cuter by adding a big 3D heart and 3D title. Those embellishments are very cute themselves! I love that gingham word “Love” and all the little buttons added to the page. And the type font journaling is just awesome!

Minimalistic Heart Dog Layout

This is a dog that knows he or she is loved. But just to make sure, those exact words are added as journaling to the polaroid-style photo and a big, almost golden colored heart is put on the page as well. The layout is classy and sophisticated. I love the use of the strips of black and white chevron patterned paper. The muted teal blue color pop comes from little heart embellishments as well as some paint splatters on the background. But the biggest attraction on the page, apart from the photo of the magnificent beast itself, is the big heart put slightly off-center behind the image. The 3D black flower is the perfect finishing touch to this stylish and minimalistic layout.

Peek-A-Boo Dog Layout

Look at that cute furry face peeking out! That is such a great angle to photograph your dog! The title of the page says “That Look” and this layout is indeed all about the expression on the dog’s face. The peek-a-boo cut-out of the top layer of patterned paper emphasis the featured photo even more! What a wonderful idea! I love the array of unmatched buttons holding the cut-out paper “flaps” in place. And I absolutely adore how those folded away pieces form a star shape around the photo. Exquisite! The choice of color for the patterned paper is lovely, love that light blue theme, it looks great in contrast with the dark brown of the dog and the title.

Meet The Pack Dog Layout

Meet “The Pack”. This group of cute canines is immortalized in this grid-style layout. Each of the dog photos is numbered and matches with some journaling about that particular dog on the bottom half of the page. This is a great idea when you want to show off your photos without that “pesky” journaling “messing” up your perfect photo grid! The rest of the page is kept quite simple. Balancing tag embellishments are added (love that leaf doodle on the bottom one!) as well as some cute small heart. I love the choice of chipboard letters for the title. Those letters really pop of the page!

Simple Puppy Layout

What a cute little pup! How could you not make a layout with this adorable photo! It practically makes itself! And, indeed, the page is kept quite minimal, giving all the focus to the sweet little dog photo. The color scheme matches the fur of the dog with a range of light browns and greys. I love the little banner bunting under the photo, balanced out by the angled piece of paper with the word “Sweet” above it. The little swirl embellishments pull the page together. The little light-brown hearts are the perfect finishing touch to a very sweet layout.

My Schmoopie Dog Layout

“My Schmoopie”, what a great title for this page. Little Malcolm is indeed a little schmoop! He has the loveliest and fuzziest of little dog faces! Again, muted colors are chosen of this layout, matching the colors of the photo. The color pop comes from the big wooden XO letters. Notice how the photo is matted on both a horizontal strip of patterned paper and on a vertical one. This creates immediate interest and some playfulness to what otherwise could be a boring grid. The horizontal strip of chevron paper is aided by a small strip of paw print paper (or washi tape) below it and a dotted line above. Those are the finishing touches you’d want to add to give a little more depth to your page.

Officially Irresistible Dog Layout

In answer to the question posed: No, I seriously couldn’t resist this cute puppy face. What an adorable dog and what a great photo. It definitely earns the stamp ” Officially IRRESISTIBLE” that has been put on this layout. There is no question about which photo on this layout is the star! And the creator of this layout could have left it at that one single photo, but even more cute small photos are added in a little filmstrip running on the bottom of the page. This is always a fun idea to use when you want to add more photos! The added brackets draw your eyes to the photos that are most important: first, of course, the big one, and second the small one with the dog and the kid together. Cute idea!

Snow Hound Dog Layout

If your dog likes to play in the snow too, take an extra good look at this layout! The cute “Snow Hound” dog is featured in one main photo and four small ones, arranged in a grid. The lovely little flower embellishments add some playfulness to the page, as does the non-straight edged of the light background paper matted on the dark paper. These background paper colors match those of the dog! I just love those snow frolicking photos! So take your dog and your camera outside and have a great photo shoot in the snow!

Playing Dogs Layout

Love that title: “Talk to the paws because the ears are not listening!!”. These dogs clearly love to play together. And they make a cute couple! I love the way the three photos are taken only seconds apart, creating a sort of filmstrip movement on the page. Each photo is matted with a different color patterned paper and all the different colors used are matched in the title colors. The little “rolls'” of patterned paper stacked under the main photo are a great finishing touch. Love that idea!
